Do finders need an account?

No. Anyone who scans or taps your SmartMrk can view your profile and send you a message without creating an account or downloading an app.

Is my information secure?

You control exactly what is visible. Sensitive fields — medical details, for instance — can be protected with a PIN, and PINs are hashed rather than stored as text. Two-way messaging keeps your personal contact details private: a finder can reach you without ever being given your number.

Can I delete my account and my data?

Yes, from Settings → Your data in your dashboard. You can also download a copy of everything we hold about you first. Some records are kept and no longer linked to you — messages with finders, scan history, orders and security logs — because a conversation about a lost pet or item may be needed later by you, by the other person, or by the police.

What happens when my pet or item is lost?

Switch on lost mode from your dashboard with one tap. Scanners see a prominent lost alert, every scan sends you a notification with the location, and you can talk to the finder through built-in messaging — with no personal details exchanged unless you choose. You also get a shareable lost poster, free on every plan.

How does the reward system work?

You can offer a reward when you mark something lost. We hold it against the case and release it to the finder once you confirm your item is back. If it never comes back, you get your money back less fees. A reward is optional — lost mode, messaging and the poster all work without one.

Yes. Profiles read aloud in over 40 languages, and messages between a finder and an owner are translated automatically — free, on every plan.
