Two ways in, because phones differ
NFC is the fast one — hold the phone near the tag and the page opens, no camera, no aiming, works in the dark. The QR code is the universal one: it works on any phone with a camera, including older handsets and any device with NFC switched off. Products that carry both give you the speed of one and the reach of the other.

The scan page is built to load on a bad connection on someone else’s phone — the realistic conditions. Text first, images after. If the person scanning needs it read aloud, or needs high contrast, that is built in rather than bolted on.
