No app. No account. It just opens.
Every Mrk works two ways. Point a phone camera at the QR code, or tap the chip against the back of the phone, and the page opens in whatever browser that person already has. The stranger who finds your bag does not download anything, sign up for anything, or know what SmartMrk is. That is the whole point: the moment a Mrk matters, the person holding it is not in the mood to install an app.

NFC is the fast one — hold the phone near the tag and the page opens, no camera, no aiming, works in the dark. The QR code is the universal one: it works on any phone with a camera, including older handsets and any device with NFC switched off. Products that carry both give you the speed of one and the reach of the other.
The scan page is built to load on a bad connection on someone else’s phone — the realistic conditions. Text first, images after. If the person scanning needs it read aloud, or needs high contrast, that is built in rather than bolted on.
Every Mrk includes scan or tap. These are the ones people buy for it.
