You buy the tag once. The subscription is for everything that keeps happening after that — the page a stranger sees when they scan it, the alert that reaches you, the message they send you, the reminder about a booster shot, the poster when something goes missing. That runs on our side every day, whether or not anyone scans.

A free account is a real account, not a trial that expires. Your Mrks work, people can reach you, and you get told when they are scanned. SmartMrk+ is for people who want more of it: longer history, more people sharing a Mrk, unlimited reminders, rewards for a safe return, and the analytics behind a business Mrk.
